Why do I see gold spots floating in vision sometimes? Some days I feel pressure, but not really pressure, it is hard to explain, I just feel different in my head/body, when I rub my eyes and open them I see the world like looking through a bottle of Goldschläger. Little gold flakes seem to fall or float in my vision. This lasts for only a few moments as the "pressure" feeling subsides.

My eyes feel kind of like a glaucoma test has been done as well, sort of dry and swollen and irritated, but nothing really bad. This vision thing is more of a concern then a pain thing as I am curious to know if it is signaling something else. I am in my late 30's so I don't think this is normal for people in my age group either.

I quit drinking about 10 years ago, I quit smoking 3-4 months ago, but this symptom has gone on for a long time (like 20+ years), it just seems to be happening more and more lately.

Anyone got an idea what this could be?
I take no prescription (or illegal) drugs so this is a possibility I can rule out. Normal fluid stuff we view I know them and know that difference. This is something weird.

this could be a condition called floaters. Many people as they get older see these spots floating around in front of their eyes. Unfortunately it's a normal part of getting older. There could be something more serious in your case. I recommend you see an ophthalmologist as soon as possible and get a full examination of your eyes. This is nothing to really play around with.

Everyone has them; it's shadows of the fluid in your eyes that you see. It seems to be more prevalent with people who take medication, especially anti-depressants. If it gets so bad that you feel vertigo, or nauseaus, make a dr. appt.
