How does an eye doctor diagnose someone with cataracts, glaucoma, or detached retina?I'm having eye problems right now, I feel like somethings wrong with my vision (it's not getting blurrier but it feels clouded or something) and I keep getting floaters in my eye. I'm probably gonna go to the eye doctor in a week or so but I'm wondering how would he even know if something was wrong with my vision?

mostly looking inside of your eye with various instruments. they've seen hundreds/thousands of cataracts & glaucoma & retinal problems & corneal problems & more...& they know what they look like. surprise! optometry is more complicated than just adding power til you see well :D
they'll be able to figure it out. its what they do for a living
