How to have a cheap health insurance in the Philippines?I'm gonna stay in N. Caloocan for 6 months n as I always do I need to hv a health insurance during my stay. Last time I was in the Phils for almost 2 months n I had bought insurance in my country paying 50 Euro. For that I was insured for the amount of money 30.000 Euro, what is important in the situation, U hv an accident n need to hv treatment in a hospital. Unfortunately that insurance didn't covered chronic diseases ( I hv glaucoma n backbone problems) n tropical diseases (like a dengue). Later I could read on the Net that in most hospitals of Phils foreign insurance r not accepted. Is it possible to hv such an insurance bought in the Phils? My gf tried to call to Philam Life but she could only hear that the number is incorrect - I had given her many phone no. from the Net. After mailing to Philam, I could receive such an answer: "We shall try to refer your query at Chartis Philippines if they offer this kind of Health Insurance.". Sounds like it is not so simple to hv tourist insurance. Any advices pls?

Makati Medical does accept insurance. I would not trust any type of insurance company in the Philippines especially if it was "cheap" insurance. I always pay in cash. If you do not have cash then it is better to have insurance from your own country that has global benefits and covers all possible conditions.
