Do you have glaucoma?I have just been diagnosed with glaucoma; luckily caught early. I am a young 54 yr. old woman, actively at the gym 5 days a week. I am married to a man that is 8 years younger. I am scared to death. I only have to use eye drops 2x a day but I am scared of the after affects; as it does go in the blood stream. Presently I take one pill because of retaining fluid. I take 1000mg of vitamin C, Calcium, a Multi Vitamin, Flax Seed, and low dose aspirin. Does anyone have glaucoma that can speak to me?
Did your lifestyle change after the diagnosis?

What changes do I have to make?

i think you're overly worried about this.
i'm 25 and i've had glaucoma since i was 11.
my glaucoma was caused by trauma to my eyes due to eye surgery for other eye related problems.
i use cosopt eye drops twic per day in my right eye and i had surgery on my left eye to insert a tiny tube to help the fluid drain properly.
you really don't have to change anything about your lifestyle.
i go to my eye dr every few months to check my eye pressure and make sure everything looks ok.
my eyes do occasionally hurt but ibuprofen takes care of that and if i'm owrried that my pressure may be up i just make an appointment for it to be checked.
this really isn't as big of a deal as you would think.
