Glaucoma.....................?I went to get an eye exam the other day and they tested for glaucoma. They blew the air in my eye but i jumped back after they did it for both eyes. The doctor told me that i didn't have glaucoma but i'm afraid that he only said that because the machine might not have gotten the results. What do you think?

You're probably okay. There are other signs besides pressure changes in the eye that your doc could have picked up on. Next time, see if they can give you a warning before puffing you.

Oh, and we ALL jump, so the machines are calibrated to take that into consideration, lol.

you're fine. if they didn't think they got a good reading they would have either done it again or used the pressure pen.

It's much less invasive and has a quicker recovery time. "I was holding everything out as far as I could reach." Ken Lloyd thought he needed glasses; his eye doctor had other ideas. "The first thing he did was to prod test, and he says 'who among your family has glaucoma?' and I said, 'what is glaucoma?' And that was the start." When drops didn't work to keep the pressure down on his left eye, Ken has traditional surgery, years later, when it came time to do the other eye, Dr. Howard Barnebey took a newer less invasive approach.
