which of this three medication give glaucoma...Alphagan,Timolol Maleate,or Prednisolone Acetate?
Posted by dremadagwa
glaucoma is an increase in intra-ocular pressure which needs drugs as alphagen and timolol to decrease aqueous humor the fluid in the eye or exactly to allow removal of xxs fluid so prednisolone unless prescribed by a doc for severe inflammation is not suitable

for a treatment of one complaint, you get a gift of other one--for example ---treatment of nephrites or nephotic syndrom large amount of prednisolon being prescribed in a tapering dose--- still you get this complication and treat with first two you said

among these drugs timolol is the drug of choice.

Dr. Paul Krawitz discusses the benefits and results of SLT rather than eyedrops for glaucoma
If you've got glaucoma, there's a good chance you take eyedrops every day. But it's easy to forget to use them. You've got to remember to fill your prescription every month and to carry the eyedrops with you when you go out. Plus, glaucoma eyedrops are expensive. They have side effects, including redness, irritation, and blurry vision. Some eyedrops can even slow your heart rate or interact with your other medications. Even when you remember to take them, it's difficult to avoid missing the eye completely or blinking them out. No wonder some studies show glaucoma patients fail to use their prescribed eyedrops half of the time! Dr. Paul Krawitz, a Board Certified Glaucoma Specialist uses a cool, painless laser light treatment that takes only one minute to perform. And the CoolLaser SLT has been shown in several scientific studies to be just as effective as eyedrop therapy. Most insurance companies cover the CoolLaser treatment. It's painless and safe for people with Diabetes and Heart Disease -- even for people with pacemakers and defibrillators. The CoolLaser doesn't burn tissue, so it can be repeated whenever necessary. Best of all, you can resume your full activities immediately afterward. CALL TODAY FOR YOUR EVALUATION! Paul L.
