Yes, I have it. Stay out of direct sunlight and watch out for flashlights. You can burn out the optic nerve within 1 hour. If you get killer headaches across the brow-go to the emergency room. They will relieve the pressure with a laser.

can you help me with these answers below?. In crossing a homozygous recessive with a heterozygote, what is the chance of getting a homozygous recessive phenotype in the F1 generation?
a) zero; b) 25%; c) 50%; d) 75%; e) 100%.

2. An organism with two different alleles for a single trait is said to be?
a) homozygous; b) heterozygous; c) segregated; d) genotypically similar.

3. When one allele is fully expressed and the other allele is masked. The allele that is fully expressed is referred to as?
a) recessive; b) dominant; c) codominant; d) all of the above.

STATEMENT: A woman and her husband both have glaucoma; however, they both had a parent that did not have glaucoma. Glaucoma is an autosomal dominant trait.

4. What is the genotype for the woman and her husband?
a) GG; b) gg; c) Gg; d) GGg; e) I'm sure glad this is not a prerequisite for reproduction!

5. What is the probability that their children will have glaucoma?
a) 0%; b) 25%; c) 50%; d) 75%; e) 100%.

1. 25%
2. Heterozygous
3. Dominant
4. Gg
5. 75%

1. C (guaranteed for the first one * 50% chance of the hetero passing it on)
2. B (by definition)
3. B (by definition)
4. C (if one of their parents didn't have it, then they were gg, since it's a dominant trait. the woman and her husband are guaranteed to have a g from their non-glaucoma parent. since they both expressed the trait, they must have been unfortunate enough to have received the G from their other parent, making them Gg.)
5. D (draw the box out)

1. (C) aaxAa if you do a punnet square you would get a 50 50 split because the heterozygote has a 50 50 chance of donating a dominate or recessive gene.
2.(B) organisms will only shouw the dominant allele.
3. (B) the Dominant allelle will be expressed in the phenotype
4.(C) if they both had a parent that did not have glaucoma then that means they did NOT have the dominant allelle which means that one parent was homozygous recessive, meaning that they could not donate the dominant allelle, and thus must donate a recessive one.
5.(D) their is a 75% chance that both children will have glaucoma this is shown through the punnet square.

GLAUCOMA CURE naturally?

GLAUCOMA CURE naturally?Dear friend

How to cure open angel glaucoma naturally ?

Posted by guile
i don't believe there's a natural cure for glaucoma because glaucoma occurs due to alterations in the normal position or physiology of the structures of your eyes and so the only way to treat it completely is through surgery, although there are medications that manage, but not completely treat glaucoma.

This is not a do it yourself project for home prescribing. There are a number of herbal substances and nutritional supplements that can help, but they can't cure the problem: magnesium, vitamin C, fish oil, ALA, bilberry, ginko and chromium. Studies have shown that taking at least 2000 mg of ascorbic acid/vitamin C per day can lower intra-ocular pressure by 16mm Hg. as long as you keep taking it. You can find your optimal level by taking 1000 mg every hour until you get diarrhea, then scale back. So-called "daily values" of vitamins are woefully low at doing anything but preventing severe deficiencies.
The only healing modality that has a chance of curing glaucoma is Homeopathy. Every country has local or national associations of certified practitioners. You can find more info. at www.homeopathy.org

Homeopathy CANNOT cure glaucoma and neither can taking vitamins. There is absolutely no evidence for this.

The most common form of glaucoma treatment are eye drops that reduce pressure build up in the eye. These are specific to the type and severity of glaucoma and generally need to be taken regularly for best effect. Examples are Timoptic, Xalatan or Alphagan. Oral medication may also be prescribed in some cases. As with all prescription medication, special caution needs to be taken as many have potentially dangerous and bothersome side-effects.

Nature provides some very beneficial ingredients through herbal and homeopathic remedies to promote over-all eye health.

One such herb which is commonly used for eye health is Vaccinium Myrtillus (Bilberry) which strengthens eye capillaries, prevents eye-related disease and infections, and enhances the body's natural visual capacity. Other herbal ingredients such as Aspalathus linearis (Rooibos) and Sutherlandia frutescens work as effective anti-oxidants and assist to maintain a healthy supply of blood, oxygen and essential nutrients to the eye.

These herbs therefore improve eye health, strengthen blood capillaries in the eye, counteract cell damage caused by free radicals, help the retina adapt to both dark and light, and prevent and treat glaucoma.
